about phoenix Dancong Oolong-QingZhuSi
Xiangdong Dan Cong belongs to the Huang Zhi Xiang (Gardenia Fragrance) category, one of the ten signature aroma types of Phoenix Dan Cong. It is a rare variety, characterized by an almost imperceptible fragrance when smelling the dry leaves. However, after placing the tea in a warm gaiwan, the heat awakens the aroma, revealing a grain-like scent with a subtle savory sweetness, reminiscent of cereal—a rarity among Phoenix Dan Cong teas, making it both niche and unique.
During brewing, Xiangdong Dan Cong unveils a rich woody character. The tea's aroma is intense, and the tea soup is thick, full-bodied, and satisfying while maintaining a refreshing quality. The tea glides smoothly down the throat with a lasting sweetness and a high degree of smoothness. The interplay between the "mountain charm" of its high-altitude origins and the "old tree essence" creates a complex flavor profile. The signature grain-like aroma of this variety subtly emerges and evolves with each infusion, offering different layers of experience.
